Iconic Historical Fremantle Prison Warder's Terrace Property Details
A comfortable, modern and luxurious property located in a State heritage-listed terrace in the heart of Fremantle. Oozing with history and character.
This is a tourist attraction in itself. Our Fremantle Warden's Cottage has been a privilege to adapt from an 1850s convict-built terrace to contemporary use and to retain and preserve its unique historical value as part of the Fremantle Prison heritage and Australian history.
Furnished throughout with top brand electrical appliances and with comfort and style a top priority, we have melded ours into one spacious abode for discerning guests who will enjoy the unique space and our tranquil back garden - something that is unique for city living and such a vast difference to staying in a sterile hotel room.
With thick hand-cut convict limestone walls and large verandahs it is cool in summer and cosy in winter. There always seems to be a lovely breeze, creating a very comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.
Local people will stop you to chat about their memories of living in these cottages or close to this area, and because of their unique location everyone will want to know what this place looks like inside! But you can sit on 3 private verandahs and enjoy the vibrancy of being on either the street level and people watching with all the vibrancy it provides, or upstairs watching discreetly, or on the back verandah overlooking the garden.
This area is very quiet Monday to Thursday, and Friday to Sunday it is full of Freo atmosphere. This is what it is all about!
We think you'll love
